REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR 2012 SEASON.

Deadline:
Registration must be received by March 1 to guarantee a spot at Spring Training. Walk-in registration will be taken as space allows.
Player Age Eligibility:
Senior Players may not be older than 14 on 8/1/2012, unless the player was enrolled as an 8th grader for the 2011-12 school year.
Evaluations:
No player evaluations this year…Spring Training! Coach Jeremy Shetler, Wilson High School coach and Wilson Jr. Baseball’s Federal team coach, will lead us through SPRING TRAINING beginning the week of March 5. SPRING TRAINING will be an intensive 3 week camp focused on individual skill development, including fielding, hitting, pitching, position specific training, and team preparation aimed at developing players to their highest ability level and preparing them to play high school baseball. Only after the 3 weeks of practice and scrimmages will teams be selected.
Team Selection:
After Spring Training, teams will be selected and announced no later than March 31.
Unlike Little League, JBO is divided first in to age groups then age groups are divided in to 3 ability levels. Players age 13-14 are in the Senior age group. Players will be placed on teams with players of similar ability.
Schedule:
League games will begin around May 1st. The season ends between July 15 and 31.
Fees:
We will be hiring a coach for the Senior Federal team and possibly the other teams. Therefore, fees for this season are going up considerably. The registration fee for 2011 is $300 for the Senior age group. This fee covers Spring Training shirt, team registration with JBO, umpires, field fees, county and state JBO tournament fees, insurance, supplies and field maintenance. This does not cover uniforms.
Refund Policy: No refunds are given on or after the first day of tryouts. If a team has a volunteer coach, $80 of the $300 will be applied to uniform cost and any balance will be refunded to the family by May 1.
**Age Rule: For JBO, your age is determined by your age on August 1, 2012.
1. Players who are 15 years old on August 1, 2012 but were enrolled as 8th graders during the 2011-12 school year may play in the Senior level. Proof of enrollment will be required.
