Junior Baseball Organization, Inc. operates under a
slightly modified version of the National Federation of High School
Associations' rulebook for baseball. Modifications include base
path length, pitching distance, and substitution rules. For more

Bats for 2012
Rules for bats are changing in many leagues and as of January 1, 2012 state JBO officials are still trying to decide how to implement those changes in JBO. The state board expects to make a decision and get the word out prior to January 23, 2012.
If you are purchasing a bat you expect your player to use in high school, then just follow the high school rules: -3 for weight and it must be "BBCOR" certified.
If your are thinking of purchasing a bat lighter than -3, to be safe, wait until after the board makes its final decision on bat rules for 2012.
